Insurance & Payment
Insurance can be confusing—but getting started shouldn't be.
We'll help you understand your benefits, estimated costs, and payment options before you begin treatment.
If you aren't sure whether your insurance is accepted, simply contact us. We'll help you verify your benefits and explain your options.
Our goal is to help you understand your estimated costs before treatment begins. While insurance companies make the final determination of benefits and payment, we'll review the information available, monitor your claims closely, and communicate with you if questions arise.

Ready To Schedule?
-
Before your first appointment, our team will contact your insurance company and review the information available regarding your benefits, including any estimated out-of-pocket costs. Because insurance companies make the final determination of coverage and payment—and the information they provide can sometimes change or be inaccurate—we cannot guarantee benefits or financial responsibility.
-
Ask your insurance company:
Is Allow Wellness in network?
Does my plan cover outpatient psychotherapy?
Does my plan cover nutrition counseling?
Do I need authorization?
Do I have a deductible and how much has been met?
What is my copay or coinsurance?
Are there any visit limits?
Are telehealth sessions covered?
-
Although psychotherapy and nutrition counseling are often covered by insurance, they are processed differently by many insurance plans. Coverage, deductibles, copays, and provider networks may vary depending on the type of service you're receiving. Our team will help you understand the information available for your specific plan.
-
Often, yes—but not always. Because Allow Wellness is contracted with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, many Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO members from other states have in-network benefits through the BlueCard® program. However, coverage depends on your specific insurance plan and network, so we'll review your benefits before your first appointment to help you understand your coverage.
-
If we're not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use your out-of-network benefits. We can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, and we're happy to help you understand your options.
-
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your insurance plan and benefits, including your deductible, copay, coinsurance, and network status. Before your first appointment, we'll review the information available from your insurance company and discuss your estimated financial responsibility. Because insurance companies make the final determination of benefits and payment, and they can provide inaccurate information, your actual responsibility may vary.
-
We understand that insurance companies don't always provide timely or accurate information, and sometimes a claim is processed differently than initially expected. To help minimize unexpected costs, we closely monitor new client claims and submit the first claim as quickly as possible. If we haven't received confirmation of your coverage before your second appointment, we'll contact you to discuss the status before additional sessions take place.
If your insurance ultimately determines that your services are out of network or not covered, we'll explain your options and, whenever possible, offer a discounted rate for past session costs based on income needs. Our goal is to be transparent and work with you to avoid unexpected financial surprises.
