DEPRESSION TREATMENT
Depression can affect far more than your mood.
Depression can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, the people around you, and the parts of life that once felt meaningful.
You may feel sad or hopeless, but depression doesn’t always look that way. It can also show up as exhaustion, irritability, numbness, difficulty concentrating, changes in sleep or appetite, loss of motivation, or simply feeling unlike yourself.
At Allow Wellness, our therapists provide individualized, evidence-based treatment for depression. We work with you to understand what may be contributing to how you feel and help you make changes that support meaningful, lasting improvement.
WHEN DEPRESSION STARTS GETTING IN THE WAY
Depression can make even ordinary parts of life feel harder. Things that once came naturally may begin to require much more energy, and it can become difficult to imagine feeling differently.
Depression may show up as withdrawing from others, losing interest in things you once enjoyed, struggling to get started, feeling chronically tired, becoming more self-critical, or having difficulty finding pleasure or meaning in everyday life. For some people, depression is persistent; for others, it may come and go or emerge during particularly difficult periods of life.
HOW WE TREAT DEPRESSION
Treatment for depression is about more than simply trying to “think positively.” We work with you to understand the biological, psychological, relational, and situational factors that may be contributing to how you feel.
Treatment is individualized and may include helping you reconnect with meaningful activities and relationships, identify patterns that reinforce depression, develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, and address experiences or concerns that may be contributing to feeling stuck. Our clinicians draw from evidence-based approaches based on your needs, history, and goals.
Depression can make change feel impossible. It isn't.
We can help you understand what's keeping you stuck and begin building a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and manageable.
