ANXIETY TREATMENT

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, but it is highly treatable.

Anxiety can take many forms, and the way it shows up can be different for everyone.

Whether you’re struggling with persistent worry, racing thoughts, panic, perfectionism, avoidance, physical symptoms of anxiety, or a sense that you simply can’t turn your mind off, anxiety can interfere with your ability to feel present and engaged in your life.

At Allow Wellness, our therapists provide individualized, evidence-based treatment for anxiety. We work with you to understand what is driving your anxiety, how it is affecting your life, and which approaches are most likely to help you experience meaningful, lasting change.

WHEN ANXIETY STARTS GETTING IN THE WAY

Anxiety is a normal part of being human. But when worry, fear, or avoidance begins taking up too much space, it can make everyday life feel harder than it needs to.

Anxiety may show up as constant overthinking, difficulty tolerating uncertainty, physical tension, trouble sleeping, panic, perfectionism, reassurance seeking, or avoiding situations that feel uncomfortable or overwhelming. It can also take the form of panic attacks, specific phobias, obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors associated with OCD, or anxiety related to traumatic experiences. For some people, anxiety is tied to a particular situation or fear; for others, it can feel like a constant background presence.

HOW WE TREAT ANXIETY

Effective anxiety treatment is more than simply learning how to calm down. We work with you to understand the patterns that are maintaining your anxiety and develop strategies that help you respond differently over time.

Treatment is individualized and may draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), exposure-based interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies, depending on your needs and goals.

You don’t have to organize your life around anxiety.

We can help you understand your anxiety, loosen its hold, and make more room for the life you want to live.
